Workshop – Shortcrust
This workshop was all about shortcrust pastry. Three different pastry types in two hours.
A basic sweet shortcrust. We used this to make a lemon tart. The crust was crispy and crumbly and the tangy just set lemon tart was an absolute bliss.
Another sweet shortcrust with almond meal. We made a over a dozen of mince pies. They tuned out golden and crispy.
The savoury shortcrust had Parmesan cheese in the dough and we used this to make a bacon and veg quiche. That was my lunch on that day.
