Toasted pecan butter
Irresistible homemade pecan butter

  1. 2 cups pecans
  2. 2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
  3. 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  4. Pinch of salt
  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C.
  2. Spread pecans on a baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes or until toasted.
  3. Allow to cool and throw in to a food processor and process until the nuts are crushed.
  4. Add in all other ingredients and continue until a spreadable consistency is achieved.(If mixture is too hard, add a teaspoon of melted butter and keep processing).
  5. Pour in to a glass container and store in refrigerator.
  1. Yields about 1 cup
